Its wistful, relaxed state — immediately apparent via the innocent album-opening invitation "Will you come with me?" on "Uncle John's Band" — owes to the circumstances surrounding its creation. At the time, the Dead owed a considerable financial debt to Warner Bros. and were hobbled by a recent drug bust and financial scandal. Most significantly, the band was recovering from — and reacting to — the tragic events of the Altamont Music Festival and the symbolic end of the peace and love era. Serious, protest folk anthems ('Blowin' in the Wind,' 'The Times Are A-Changin') sit alongside defiant rock statements ('Positively Fourth Street'), landscape-changing epics ('Like a Rolling Stone'), beautiful blues-inspired odes ('I Want You'), and surrealist dreamscapes ('Subterranean Homesick Blues'). Infused with literary poetry, impassioned emotion, and career-making performances, this material serves as both a definitive account of American culture and society and a soundtrack to the era's social movements.

Tracklist

Rainy Day Women #12 ; 35

Blowin' in the Wind

The Times They Are A-Changin'

It Ain't Me, Babe

Like a Rolling Stone

Mr. Tambourine Man

Subterranean Homesick Blues

I Want You

Positively 4th Street

Just Like a Woman

UPC: 888750225511
Label: Mobile Fidelity
Release Date: 10.13.15
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/Bob-Dylan-Bob-Dylans-Greatest-Hits-180-Gram-LP-Vinyl.jpg?v=1776108907
bob-dylan-bob-dylan-180-gram-lp-vinyl
Bob Dylan – Bob Dylan (Mobile Fidelity 180 Gram LP Vinyl)

Recorded in just two sessions in November 1961, Dylan was 20 years old when he walked into Columbia's Studio A with little more than a guitar, a harmonica, and a head full of Woody Guthrie. The album sold modestly at first, earning him the nickname "Hammond's Folly" after the producer who signed him, but the songs here, particularly his own "Talkin' New York" and "Song to Woody," already hint at the writer who would reshape American music within a few short years.

Numbered Special Edition

The Understated Debut That Launched a Peerless Career: Bob Dylan Is the Clearest Connection to the Singer-Songwriter's Folk Roots Pressed on MoFi SuperVinyl for Reference Playback: Mobile Fidelity 33RPM SuperVinyl Mono LP

Features the Direct Sound Dylan Intended. Bob Dylan's self-titled 1962 debut is as understated an entrance as any significant musician has ever made. Well-versed in American roots music, Dylan simultaneously pays homage to tradition and extends it by putting his own stamp on classic material that metaphorically functions as the soil of contemporary songs and styles.

Free of ego and performed with masterful conviction, Bob Dylan ranks with the initial efforts of giants like Elvis Presley and the Rolling Stones. Nodding to Woody Guthrie and re-imagining Blind Lemon Jefferson's 'See That My Grave Is Kept Clean,' Dylan straddles the past and future. He authoritatively displays the ability to handle weighty topics such as death, sorrow, and lamentation with the vaudeville flair, bluesy mannerisms, and poignant command of an artist three times his then-20-year-old age.

Sourced from the original master tapes, housed in a Stoughton jacket, and pressed on MoFi SuperVinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing, Mobile Fidelity's numbered-edition 180g 33RPM mono SuperVinyl LP brings the contents of this seminal release as close as they've ever come to live-in-the-studio quality. Transparent to the source, Dylan's voice, acoustic guitar, and harmonica come across with exceptional realism - the 'husk and bark' to which Robert Shelton referred in his legendary New York Times review of a Dylan appearance at Gerde's Folk City - courtesy of the format's nearly non-existent noise floor, groove definition, and quiet surfaces.

Heard in the original mono configuration, Dylan's vocals are in the heart of the musical action and as one with the accompaniment. This reissue paints an incredibly accurate portrait of the concrete mass of sound, featuring no artificial panning and offering straight-ahead immersion into the music that producer John Hammond recorded in just two days in November 1961.

Though much has been made of the commercial indifference that greeted the album upon its low-key release, focusing on sales figures and the reaction of a public not yet hip to Dylan's name misses the forest for the trees. Distinguished from the era's other folk efforts by way of the singer-songwriter's determination, brazenness, and lived-through-this worldliness, Bob Dylan lays the groundwork for the path he'd soon trailblaze and everyone else would follow.

As Dylan scholar and pop-culture critic Greil Marcus observed in 2010: 'Everybody knew Joan Baez and the Kingston Trio; if you knew Bob Dylan, you knew something other people didn't, something that soon enough everybody had to know. Within a year, an album could put an adjective in front of the singer's name as if it were already common coin.' Mono is how almost everyone first heard Dylan's opening salvo. A career like no other starts here.MoFi SuperVinyl.

Developed by NEOTECH and RTI, MoFi SuperVinyl is the most exacting-to-specification vinyl compound ever devised. As with so many of the classic album reissues on vinyl, the success is in the presentation—the remastering, the pressing and packaging, the extras. Without a single caveat, this weighty collection honoring the Stones’ 13th studio slab is spectacular.

The place to start is with the fidelity. The Stones turned over the original tapes to Steven Wilson, the highly in-demand, modern maestro of the remix, to revisit the proper album—one that finds the legendary band at, possibly, its most diverse. Wilson’s remix, as hoped, is sheer sonic brilliance. Never have these tracks sounded sharper, more cohesive, and more dynamic than on this new mix. Follow that with Matt Colton’s top-flight mastering—the Grammy-winning engineer worked with the Stones previously on Hackney Diamonds—and Black and Blue in this 2025 incarnation, on whisper-quiet wax, is the one to have.

Back in 1976, Black and Blue was known in Stones circles as the “audition” album; the first after the departure of guitarist Mick Taylor, who’d sparkled on a string of efforts- Let It Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main Street, to name three- many consider among rock’s finest. So, it wasn’t a hole to fill. It was a crater.

With guest spots at the B&B sessions by a few notable axe-men—from Jeff Beck and Harvey Mandel to Wayne Perkins and Robert A. Johnson—the talent pool was Olympian. In the end, the band went with Beck’s bandmate from his Rod Stewart days, Ronnie Wood, and the rest is Rolling Stones history. Looking back now, it seems inevitable that Wood would get the gig, yet this set includes some of the jams with the runners-up that tantalize the imagination. A take of Beck’s “Freeway Jam” is as intriguing to hear as it is historic, if ultimately bolstering the conclusion that Wood was the best fit.

As for the three LPs and Blu-ray that contain live performances from ‘76- the vinyl from a hometown residency at Earls Court; the video from a TV broadcast of a Paris show—it’s more peak-Stones magic. Again, the addition of Wood is hand-in-glove, weaving as he would so well for the next five decades with Keith Richards, complementing- with the just the right attitude and attire—the gargantuan stage presence of Mick Jagger, and, most importantly, playing guitar like an ace. Toss in some previously unreleased cuts and a coffee-table-ready book, and this is a box set that gets it exactly right.

No Comments comments associated with this post

— Larson Sutton, jambands.com

Product Details

Recorded during an open audition period as the Stones searched for a replacement for Mick Taylor, Black and Blue captures the band in a genuinely transitional moment, with guitarists including Wayne Perkins and Harvey Mandel each leaving their mark on the sessions before Wood ultimately got the nod. The under-heralded 1992 album, Dylan's first solo acoustic album in nearly 30 years and first all-covers effort in nearly 20 years, can be seen as a prophetic prelude to what has become the Nobel Laureate's celebrated late-career arc. Although the music is anchored by personnel familiar to those who've been following Strings for a while—Billy Failing (banjo, vocals), Royal Masat (bass, vocals), Jarrod Walker (mandolin, vocals) and Alex Hargreaves (fiddle), alongside several guests—the songwriting and arrangements show a marked maturation, and the album on the whole bears a cohesiveness that's been hinted at but never so fully realized before. The solos are still prominent and consistently out of this world, but there is much more going on here, a greater commitment to the bigger picture. All of the 20 songs on Highway Prayers are Strings originals, recorded at various locations in Nashville and Los Angeles between 2021 and early this year, with co-production by Strings and Jon Brion. The tales they tell—much like those on 2022's Me/and/Dad, Strings' previous studio release—are often intimate, drawn from personal experience, albeit universal in nature. "Leadfoot"—a standout account of one crazy-ass driver, featuring Strings on just about every instrument except drums (including banjo, steel guitar and a 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle)— borders on the chaotic, and as long as we're hitting the road, let "My Alice" be a cautionary tale. It's far from the first-ever song with a big ol' set of wheels at its center, but it's one of the nastiest. Of course, there are a couple of wild instrumentals to serve as a reminder that the virtuosity is built-in ("Malfunction Junction"), but Highway Prayers goes beyond mere pickin'. The album, featuring 'I Walk The Line, ' 'Cry, Cry, Cry, ' and 'Folsom Prison Blues, ' has been given the ultimate treatment for this 180-gram, 45 RPM mono release, featuring audio from original master tapes mastered to vinyl in an all-analog process, plus restored artwork featuring new liner notes. 'I never imagined that I'd hear the iconic voice of Johnny Cash on Intervention Records! ' said Shane Buettner, Intervention Records' founder. 'And I don't think music fans around the world have ever heard Johnny's voice, or Sam Phillips' famous Sun Studio sound, as clearly and definitively as they will on this new 45 RPM mono cut. This is as close you can get to a time machine back to Memphis in the 1950s! 'Originally issued in the fall of 1957-the first long-player for Sam Phillips' Sun Records-Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! Showcases the stripped-down sound that would make the future Man in Black one of the most enduring and respected musicians of the 20th century. Backed only by his 'Tennessee Two ' (Luther Perkins on lead guitar and Marshall Grant on upright bass) and augmented by Phillips' signature studio slapback that gave Cash's 'boom-chicka-boom ' sound it's kick, Hot and Blue Guitar! #is the album that introduced many to Cash's sonorous baritone. The LP features Cash's first three single A-sides for Sun, all self-penned: 'Cry, Cry, Cry, ' (a No. 14 country chart hit), 'So Doggone Lonesome ' (which peaked at No. 4 on the country charts) and Cash's signature original 'I Walk The Line. ' The latter was a No. 1 country smash for six non-consecutive weeks in the summer of 1956 before crossing over into the Top 20 of Billboard's pop charts. Additional standouts include Cash's renditions of fare like 'The Wreck Of The Old 97 ' and 'Rock Island Line, ' as well as a fourth original song, 'Folsom Prison Blues '-which would top the country charts more than a decade later when Cash performed it as part of his landmark 1968 live album At Folsom Prison.Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! #is the second title in Intervention's Sun Records Hi-Fi Series, offering exquisite pressings of definitive country and rock material from the label's storied discography. It follows the debut release in the series (and Sun's second LP), Carl Perkins ' Dance Album. The 1957 album served as a defining introduction to Perkins' pioneering rockabilly songbook, including the standards 'Blue Suede Shoes, ' 'Matchbox, ' and 'Honey Don't. ' ('Blue Suede Shoes, ' later covered by Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran and countless others, celebrates the 70th anniversary of its release in 2026.)Intervention has handled the audio presentation and packaging of these vital albums with great care and attention to detail. Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! #was sourced from flat transfers of ¼ ' monaural master reels sourced from the Sun Records archive, which compiled the label's original 7 ' single masters. This exhaustive research process resulted in the best-sounding tape version of each of the 12 songs on the original album, as well as the first vinyl edition of the album in decades to be sourced from these tapes. Acclaimed mastering engineer Kevin Gray at CoHEARent Audio has overseen this pressing of Hot and Blue Guitar!; lacquers were plated using RTI's three-step process and pressed on ultra-quiet 180-gram vinyl by boutique pressing plant Gotta Groove Records, offering crystal-clear audio fidelity that sacrifices none of the spark of the original recordings. The beautifully restored 'old-style ' jacket, manufactured by Stoughton Printing Co., features a new essay by noted Sun Records historian and two-time Grammy Award winner Colin Escott. His liner notes offer rich context on Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar!, from recording to packaging, and how the album planted the seeds for Cash's singular career, spanning more than half a century. '[Hot and Blue Guitar] was... a summary of Johnny Cash's roots and his story so far, ' he writes. 'The breadth of his song choices gave some idea of what awaited us in the years and decades ahead.

Black and Blue arrived at a crossroads moment for the Stones, recorded across Rotterdam, Munich, and Musicland Studios while the band auditioned potential replacements for Mick Taylor through the sessions themselves. on Phish's Hall of Fame, it's often the wall's didactic plaque next to it that got it there. Thus, while Phish's latest archival box set, New Year's Eve 1993 Live at Worcester Centrum, is a vibrant affair that's crackling with energy from the jump, the night itself holds a seminal place in Phish history that extends beyond the musical delivery. It's that added element that makes this release something more than just enjoyable. It makes it important.

For those who were inside the building, so many years ago, it's a keepsake--a long-overdue professional recording from a time well before Live Phish offered every note for on-demand streaming. For everyone else, it's a window into a storied night that bridged the band's incubation decade with everything that followed.

Phish's previous New Year's Eve show, in Boston '92, signaled their theatrical ambitions and appetite for holiday spectacles. But it was here in Worcester, one year later, where they finally had the budget and the production ability to unleash their first true arena rock extravaganza. The stage appeared to be a giant aquarium, with make-believe fish swimming around above the band's heads, and a giant clam in the middle. Shortly before midnight, the band members descended from the ceiling in wetsuits, pretending to dive down and swim to the clam, which they climbed inside just in time for the countdown. The clam ascended, and kind of exploded at midnight as the band reemerged on the stage for "Auld Lang Syne." It remains one of Phish's most-loved--and truest to form--gags of all time.

It is also instructive to remember that this was their biggest headline performance to that point. There was an energy there, both on stage and in the house. You can hear it on your speakers all these years later.

By New Year's Eve '93, Phish had already piled high countless nights of wildly experimental long-form jams, thematic excursions, and adventurous segues. This night was more from the Amy's Farm or Arrowhead Ranch column--an exhibition of the best that Phish had to offer, spoonful samplings of all 31 flavors, delivered with punch after punch after punch, superhuman accuracy, and uncanny group-mind delivery--all performed from inside an absurdly fantastic arena-sized fish-tank fantasy.

Phish's defining humor, in which you weren't quite sure if they were making fun of arena rock tropes or living inside them, was happily pervasive as well, obviously with the gag itself but also interspersed throughout the musical program. Drummer Jon Fishman showboated his way through Neil Diamond's "Cracklin' Rosie," the band transformed into a barbershop quartet for "I Didn't Know," and they paid tribute to the recently deceased Frank Zappa by weaving the melody to Zappa's "Peaches En Regalia" into multiple songs throughout the night. (That's in addition to a proper full rendition--their third in the four-night run.)

Performance-based highlights include an appropriately frenetic "Run Like an Antelope," a firehose rendition of "Tweezer," a characteristically caustic "Stash," and soaring, inspirational takes on "Reba" and "Harry Hood." And then there's the extracted "Down with Disease Jam," performed moments after midnight and four months before the song's actual debut, as if the band used the first minutes of the new year to telescopically preview the future.

The timestamps are a betrayal of faith--there aren't any 20-plus minute "Type II" expeditions and most of the night's many moments of improvisational genius are hidden to the untrained Phish ear. But the four band members move as one through twists, through turns, around sideways glances, straight on to full-steam-ahead adorned with cascades that electrified the arena in such a way that remains tangible and perceptible, 32 years later. The unified ecstatic joy shared between band and audience transmits through this music into your headphones, car stereo, or living room, wherever you end up listening to it.

Now that this historic Phish all-timer has been taken out of the box and released for all to experience: Attn: Rock N Roll Hall of Fame voting body--presenting you with Exhibit A.

— Benjy Eisen, Relix

Product Details

Worcester Centrum on December 31, 1993 landed right as Phish was crossing from cult phenomenon to something much larger, with ticket demand that year making it clear the band had outgrown the theaters and ballrooms that had been their natural habitat. Hearing him deliver these songs himself strips away any gloss and returns them to their original, unguarded intent.

Limited edition of 2000 numbered copies on orange coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Country icon Kris Kristofferson released his debut album Kristofferson in 1970, marking the belated start of what would turn out to be a long and illustrious recording career. He was a pioneering figure in the outlaw country movement, moving away from the polished Nashville sound and toward a more raw, introspective style. Lyrically, he was very politically aware, further distinguishing himself from other country acts. Many of his early songs were written by Kristofferson while on a side job flying workers to and from oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, which he would then pitch in his time off. Via June Carter he attempted to reach her partner Johnny Cash, who later invited Kristofferson to join him at the 1969 Newport Folk Festival. Following this performance, Fred Foster of Monument Records signed him as a songwriter and recording artist and the rest is history.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Blame It On The Stones (2:43)

2. To Beat The Devil (4:42)

3. Me And Bobby McGee (4:22)

4. The Best Of All Possible Worlds (3:03)

5. Help Me Make It Through The Night (2:24)

6. The Law Is For Protection Of The People (2:39)

Side B

1. Casey's Last Ride (3:34)

2. Just The Other Side Of Nowhere (3:35)

3. Darby's Castle (3:17)

4. For The Good Times (3:25)

5. Duvalier's Dream (2:55)

6. Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down (4:32)

UPC: 8719262041363
Label: Music On Vinyl
Release Date: 1.23.26
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/Kris-Kristofferson-Kristofferson-180-Gram-Orange-LP-Vinyl.jpg?v=1776104662
santana-lotus-limited-edition-180-gram-lp-vinyl
Santana – Lotus (Mobile Fidelity 3-LP Vinyl)

Recorded at the peak of the band's spiritual and musical partnership with John McLaughlin, the 1973 performances captured on Lotus find Carlos Santana and his ensemble in a state of pure collective flow, stretching pieces like "A-1 Funk" and "Yours Is the Light" far beyond their studio counterparts. Originally issued in 1974, the triple LP contains exhilarating performances of the band recorded at two shows in early July 1973 at the 2400-seat Osaka Kosei Nenkin Kaikan concert hall. It bears witness to the eight-piece collective playing with a chemistry, inventiveness, cohesiveness, and soulfulness no other Santana lineup would ever surpass. Featuring seven previously unreleased tracks as well as remarkable renditions of material from Santana's first four albums and the Carlos Santana-John McLaughlin collaboration Love Devotion Surrender, Lotus simultaneously suggests and inspires, dreams and delivers.Transferred by original engineer Tomoo Suzuki, strictly limited to 3,000 numbered copies, and housed in deluxe trifold packaging faithful to that of the original pressing, Lotus benefits from reference audiophile treatment on Mobile Fidelity's 180g 3LP set. Featuring rich tones, smooth dynamics, excellent separation, deep soundstages, and involving presence, this reissue pays tribute to both the virtuosic lineup and the magnetic fusion of Latin- and Afro-Cuban-influenced jazz, rock, psychedelia, R&B, and blues. The complexity of the spiritual passages, demands of the crescendos, delicacy of the calm transitions, electricity of the solos: everything is rendered with superb balance and free of the harshness, compression, and fatiguing peaks that would otherwise distract from the presentations at hand.

Released in 1976 as the Stones were actively auditioning guitarists to replace Mick Taylor, Black and Blue captures a band in creative flux, road-testing new chemistry in real time. It has been remastered from original analog tapes by Keven Reeves to 192kHz 24-bit audio and then cut on copper plates using Abbey Road Mastering's Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) lathe. The original artwork has been faithfully reproduced. Idlewild South is the second studio album by The Allman Brothers Band. Produced by Tom Dowd, the album was released on September 23, 1970. Following the release of their 1969 debut, The Allman Brothers Band toured the United States extensively to promote the album, which had little commercial success. Their performances, however, did create positive word of mouth exposure that extended to more famous musicians, such as Eric Clapton, who invited group leader Duane Allman to contribute to his 1970 album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs. As a result of the band's relentless touring schedule, Idlewild South was recorded gradually over a period of five months in various cities, including New York, Miami, and Macon, Georgia, the band's home. Tom Dowd had previously been sought to record the group's debut but had been unavailable. The material presented on Idlewild South was written during this period and tested out on the road at shows. The album's title comes from the band's nickname for a rustic cabin the band rented out and used for rehearsals, as well as parties. Idlewild South contains two of the band's best-known songs, "Midnight Rider" (later a hit for various artists) and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed", which became one of the band's famous concert numbers.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Revival (4:06)

2. Don't Keep Me Wonderin' (3:31)

3. Midnight Rider (3:00)

4. In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed (6:59)

Side B

1. Hoochie Coochie Man (4:58)

2. Please Call Home (4:02)

3. Leave My Blues At Home (4:18)

UPC: 602547813237
Label: Mercury
Release Date: 7.22.16
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-the-allman-brothers-band-idlewild-south-180-gram-lp-vinyl-vinyl-lp-relix.jpg?v=1777459186
eagles-greatest-hits-vol-2-180-gram-bme-lp-vinyl
Eagles – Greatest Hits Vol. 2 (2-LP Vinyl)

Where Vol. 1 captured the radio dominance, this second collection goes deeper into the catalog, drawing from the band's later, harder-edged era. The MoFi 45RPM pressing, sourced from the original master tapes, is exactly what this music deserves, because the spatial depth of those Roy Bittan-anchored arrangements rewards every extra ounce of resolution a proper audiophile pressing can deliver.

Dire Straits Expand Musical Framework and Come Into Own on Making Movies: Co-Produced by Jimmy Iovine, Thematic Album Soars With Personal Songwriting and Epic Arrangements. Cinematic Landscapes and Intricate Passages Sound Sublime: Mobile Fidelity 45RPM 2LP Pressing of Making Movies Mastered from Original Master Tapes, Features Audiophile Dynamics. Bruce Springsteen Pianist Roy Bittan, Mark Knopfler's Guitar Playing, and Passionate Performances Turn Making Movies Into a Classic: Includes 'Romeo and Juliet,' 'Tunnel of Love,' 'Solid Rock'. Making Movies marks a magnificent turning point in Dire Straits' career. Considered by many fans to be the group's most complete album, the 1980 set witnesses leader Mark Knopfler greatly expanding his songwriting palette and setting his storytelling amidst more complex, involving arrangements. Dire Straits also benefits from crucial contributions from Bruce Springsteen pianist Roy Bittan and the departure of rhythm guitarist David Knopfler. The songs spark with a mélange of poetry, passion, and cohesion that engages the senses and begs to be experienced again and again. Mastered from the original master tapes and pressed at RTI, Mobile Fidelity's 180g 45RPM 2LP set of Making Movies breathes with reference-caliber airiness, spaciousness, dynamics, and separation. Produced by Jimmy Iovine and Knopfler, the record - which contains many Springsteen-esque elements - features the cleanliness and clarity that have long been Dire Straits trademarks. The extra-wide 45RPM grooves on this edition provide previously unattainable detail, information, and soundstaging. This is what audiophile recordings are all about. You know you're in the presence of sonic greatness as soon as the first few seconds of the opening 'Tunnel of Love' pass, as the introductory passage built on organ and piano - new additions to Dire Straits' palette - intertwine with the unmistakable coil-spring twang of Knopfler's guitar. The three-dimensional, full-bodied presentation of the latter instrument on this Mobile Fidelity LP is alone worth the price of admission. Crisp, rich, and balanced, the analog sound brings Knopfler's Fender Vibrolux and Music Man HD130 amplifiers into your room. The romanticism of Bittan's piano, precision timekeeping of drummer Pick Withers, and steady roll of bassist John Illsley come across with similar potency, scale, and verve. Always more about the whole than the sum of their individual parts, Dire Straits demonstrate that while Knopfler is the lynchpin, this record is a true band effort. Bittan's role cannot be overstated. His melodicism poetically complements Knopfler's subtle staccato rhythms and more than makes up for the exit of David Knopfler. Expansive and cinematic, the aptly titled Making Movies puts a premium on interrelated subjects (love, relationships, heartbreak) and deep-seated emotions that play out in heartfelt lyrics, intense singing, and epic frameworks. Everything clicks. The album's power isn't lost on Iovine, who later told Rolling Stone: 'The right people were in the room together. It really was making a record in the pure sense of the term. The whole thing sounds like one song. But you what that is? That's the writing, the guy who wrote it. He wrote the album like that; he wanted to make the album like that.' Indeed, the first five tracks - 'Tunnel of Love,' 'Romeo and Juliet,' 'Skateaway,' 'Expresso Love,' 'Hand in Hand' - comprise a mini-suite united by theme, harmony, and spirit. Every member of the newly configured Dire Straits has a say in the shaping of the material. There's not a note out of place. Iovine and Knopfler's standout production puts it over the top.

Tracklist

Disc 1

1. Tunnel Of Love

Side B

1. Romeo And Juliet

2. Skateaway

Side C

1. Expresso Love

2. Hand In Hand

Side D

1. Solid Rock

2. Les Boys

UPC: 821797246811
Label: Mobile Fidelity
Release Date: 12.6.19
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-dire-straits-making-movies-limited-edition-180-gram-lp-vinyl-vinyl-lp-relix.jpg?v=1777606573
the-beatles-yellow-submarine-reissue-remastered-180-gram-lp-vinyl
The Beatles – Yellow Submarine (LP Vinyl)

The Beatles' 1968 film soundtrack occupies a strange, beloved corner of their catalog, pairing four new studio tracks with George Martin's orchestral score from the animated film. What makes Uprising particularly unique in Marley's discography is it's duality-balancing socially conscious anthems with deeply personal expressions of faith, hope, and mortality.Tracks such as the iconic 'Redemption Song,' with it's acoustic simplicity and universal message of liberation, and the haunting 'Forever Loving Jah,' reveal a man at peace with his spirituality. Meanwhile, songs such as 'Could You Be Loved' deliver infectious grooves and crossover appeal, proving Marley's ability to blend message and melody effortlessly.Critics and fans alike hailed Uprising as a high point in Marley's career. It received acclaim for it's mature sound and cohesive vision, with reviewers highlighting it's raw emotional power. While it didn't achieve the explosive commercial success of Exodus or Kaya, it cemented Marley's status as a global ambassador for reggae and freedom. For Marley fans, it's more than an album - it's a testament to his enduring spirit. Now, Analogue Productions gives Uprising the deluxe treatment this album, with it's rich heritage, deserves. I.T.T. International Thief Thief (1980) was recorded following Afrika 70's disintegration and the formation of Egypt 80. It is one of a quartet of courageous 1979/80 albums completed by V.I.P. (Vagabonds In Power), Authority Stealing and Coffin For Head Of State. In "International Thief Thief," Fela makes highly insulting, personal attacks on former Nigerian president General Obasanjo, and Moshood Abiola, the local chief executive of the multi-national corporations Internal Telephone & Telegraph (ITT) and Decca Records. Obasanjo Fela regarded as a crook, an incompetent and a thug, and held him responsible for the death of his mother following the 1977 sack of Kalakuta. Abiola, he believed, had both cheated him out of royalties and conspired with Decca's London bosses to silence him after the 1977 attack, in order to maintain favourable relations with Obasanjo's regime.
