The circumstances behind *Exodus* are inseparable from the music itself. Marley recorded it in London after fleeing Jamaica in the wake of the 1976 Smile Jamaica concert shooting, and that displacement colors every groove, from the spiritual urgency of "Natural Mystic" to the communal release of "Jamming." *Time* magazine named it the greatest album of the 20th century, a testament to how deeply this music has traveled.

Recorded in London following an attempt on his life, Exodus shows Bob Marley mellowing a bit. Despite some powerful political tracks, Marley adopts a less fiery, more reflective approach than his previous outings. Now available on 180 gram vinyl in original artwork featuring the original gold metallic jacket with embossed lettering.
