Canned Heat's roots run straight to the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock, where the band became synonymous with the California boogie blues sound. More than five decades on, de la Parra keeps the flame burning for a tradition built on road work and raw feeling, honoring the legacy of Bob "The Bear" Hite and Al "Blind Owl" Wilson through every live performance.
As always, led by drummer Adolfo Fito de la Parra, veteran and bassist Larry Taylor The Mole is also here with. The microphone and the harmonica is New Orleans' legendary Dale Spalding, during John Paul JP Harvey for The Snake Mandel took over on guitar, which can not play themselves for health reasons at the moment. It is a snapshot, explained manager and producer Skip Taylor, who has captured in this special night the band.
