Canned Heat were never just a blues cover band. Rooted in the Los Angeles record collector scene of the mid-1960s, Bob Hite and Al Wilson brought a scholar's devotion and a boogie-fueled ferocity to the Delta and Chicago traditions, making them essential conduits between the original masters and the rock generation that needed to hear them.

One of America's greatest Blues bands for nearly five decades, Canned Heat have enjoyed massive popularity from their appearance at Woodstock until today.
