Recorded at the peak of the jam scene's late-90s surge, Dose finds Warren Haynes and Allen Woody pushing their heavy, blues-rooted sound into darker, more psychedelic territory. Woody's thunderous low end and Haynes' scorched-earth guitar work had already made Gov't Mule a must-see live act, and this studio document captures a band with something to prove beyond the Allman Brothers shadow.

Dose is Gov't Mule's Capricorn debut and the band's 3rd album (both previous releases earned strong critical praise). Warren Haynes (guitars/vocals) and Allen Woody (bass) are well known from their previous affiliation with the Allman Bros. Band and they have consistently blown away fans and journalists alike.
