Adam Stephens and Tyson Vogel have been making a remarkably raw, literate brand of American music since the early 2000s, drawing as naturally from Appalachian folk and Delta blues as from punk's directness and urgency. The San Francisco pair built their reputation on ferocious live shows where Stephens' voice cuts like a wire and Vogel's drumming feels almost violent in its precision, a two-person band that sounds much larger than it has any right to.

The fifth full-length studio release for the San Francisco indie rock duo of Adam Stephens and Tyson Vogel was produced by Karl Derfler. With We Are Undone, Two Gallants have created an album that is enviable in its quality and consistency.
