Balance arrived in 1995 as the last Van Halen album to feature Sammy Hagar, closing out a decade-long chapter that had produced some of the band's biggest commercial successes. The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, a first for the band, and its arena-ready sound captured a group operating at the peak of its mainstream reach before the lineup chaos that would follow.

Balance (Expanded Edition) features Van Halen's multi-platinum 10th studio album with remastered audio on 2 LPs and 1 CD, plus a rarities CD featuring B-sides and eight previously unreleased live performances from London's Wembley Stadium (June 24, 1995). This deluxe, limited-edition set also includes a Blu-ray containing six remastered promotional and live videos.
