Product Details
Pinkerton arrived in 1996 as the rawer, more emotionally exposed follow-up to Weezer's blue album debut, and it initially baffled critics and casual listeners alike before a devoted underground following gradually reclaimed it as one of the decade's most honest rock records. Rivers Cuomo wrote it in near-isolation, drawing on personal journals and a fascination with Puccini's opera "Madama Butterfly," and that vulnerability never left the grooves.
Underrated sophomore LP from 1996 includes "El Scorcho" and "The Good Life".
