Fenton Robinson never got the household name recognition his guitar work deserved, but Chicago blues insiders knew exactly what they had in him. His fluid, jazz-inflected single-string lines were a direct influence on players like Otis Rush and Buddy Guy's smoother side, and his 1967 original "Somebody Loan Me a Dime" became a touchstone long before Boz Scaggs repopularized it. Night Flight, one of his final studio recordings, captures that quietly sophisticated voice still fully intact.

Nightflight moves from gritty Chicago blues to progressive new originals to jazzy shuffles. Features a guest appearance by Junior Wells.
