Lonnie Brooks spent decades earning his stripes on the Chicago blues circuit after coming up in Louisiana alongside figures like Guitar Junior, and his guitar work always carried that Gulf Coast heat no matter how deep into the South Side he planted his roots. Road House Rules lands at a point in his career when he had nothing left to prove and everything left to play.

His first album of new material in five years, Roadhouse Rules serves up Lonnie's own blend of blues, rock, soul and Louisiana Pop. Producer Jim Gaines (ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn - need I say more? Right there you know the guy is obviously a genius) was at the helm for these blistering studio sessions, capturing the essence of Lonnie's incredible live performance on tape.
