Frank Sinatra – Songs For Swingin' Lovers (LP Vinyl)
Product Details
Sinatra and arranger Nelson Riddle were hitting their full stride by 1956, and this collection captures that chemistry at its most electric. Where *In The Wee Small Hours* found Sinatra alone at 3am, *Songs For Swingin' Lovers* puts him squarely in the room with the band, riding the pocket with a confidence that influenced every vocalist who came after him. The Tone Poet series has set a high bar for audiophile reissues, and this one belongs in the conversation.
Frank Sinatra - "Songs For Swingin' Lovers (Blue Note Tone Poet Edition)" [180g Heavy Vinyl LP] Following his melancholy masterpiece In The Wee Small Hours, legendary vocalist Frank Sinatra brightened the mood with the exuberant Songs For Swingin' Lovers released on Capitol Records in 1956 and featuring uptempo numbers arranged by Nelson Riddle. This mono Blue Note Tone Poet Edition was produced by Joe Harley, mastered by Kevin Gray from the original analog master tapes, pressed on 180g vinyl at RTI, and packaged in a deluxe gatefold tip-on jacket featuring session photos by William Claxton & Ken Veeder.
