Bad Attitude! finds MonoNeon backed in the studio for the first time by his longtime onstage collaborators—keyboardists Davy Nathan and Charlie Brown, guitarists Xavier Lynn and Peter Knudsen, and drummer Devin Way—recording between Memphis and Iceland's Flóki Studios. The result is a beguiling peek into MonoNeon's impossible-to-classify inner world where Prince-style funk collides with '70s soft rock and synth-tinged R&B. As the last bassist to play regularly with Prince, MonoNeon carries that legacy forward while remaining stubbornly himself.
