Fleet Foxes - June/July 2017 Relix Issue
The June/July 2017 Relix issue features our Fleet Foxes cover story and much more! It’s been more than six years since Fleet Foxes released a studio album, and it’s an understatement to say that the Seattle outfit has been a bit quiet since their last show in 2012. Drummer Josh Tillman quit Fleet Foxes only to re-emerge with his equally successful Father John Misty persona, visionary Robin Pecknold left the music industry and enrolled at Columbia University, and the rest of the band busied themselves with side projects that strayed pretty far from Fleet Foxes’ trademark CSN harmonies. Now, after regrouping last year, the ensemble is ready to reclaim the indie-folk scene that they helped popularize with their unexpected, experimental comeback, Crack-Up. Editor-in-Chief Mike Greenhaus lets us know what’s next.
This issue also contains additional articles and interviews with Steven Van Zandt, Thundercat, Phoenix, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Todd Rundgren, Jason Isbell, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Head and The Heart, Superfly’s Jonathan Mayers, Widespread Panic’s Dave Schools, Ryley Walker, The 17th Annual Relix Festival Guide: Set II, Shook Twins, Dispatch, Jay Sweet, George Wein, Becca Stevens, Kikagaku Moyo and more!
