By 1992, Krauss was still in her early twenties and already rewriting expectations for what a young woman could accomplish in a tradition dominated by older male gatekeepers. This sophomore Union Station record captures the band finding its signature sound, a blend of traditional bluegrass instincts with a melodic sensibility that would eventually carry them far beyond the genre's usual boundaries.

A real phenomenon in bluegrass music, Alison won the bluegrass Grammy for this album, and is already a member of the Grand Ole Opry! She is a wonderful bluegrass fiddler, a great harmony singer, and her band includes some of the hottest players in bluegrass.
