Released in April 2009, *Together Through Life* arrived deep in Dylan's late-period creative resurgence, drawing heavily on the roadhouse blues and Tex-Mex atmospheres he'd absorbed over decades of relentless touring. Drummer and accordionist David Hidalgo of Los Lobos appears throughout, anchoring the album's earthy, borderlands feel and giving it a sound closer to a smoky cantina than a recording studio.
Together Though Life, produced by Jack Frost, was prompted by the composition of a new song, "Life Is Hard," which was written for a forthcoming film by French director Oliver Dahan (La Vie En Rose). Bob Dylan's latest studio album was recorded late last year and features 10 new songs including "It's All Good."
