Product Details

Chester Burnett learned to play guitar from the great Charley Patton in the Mississippi Delta, and that raw, Southern foundation never left him even as he helped define the electric Chicago blues sound of the 1950s. His influence runs straight through the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and into every guitarist who ever cranked up a cranky, distorted riff and meant it. This collection draws from the Chess Records era that made him a legend.

Chester Burnett, better known as Howlin' Wolf, was one of the most influential blues artists of all time. A commanding presence at 6'6" and 300 pounds, Howlin' Wolf was known for his electrifying performances. This historic album features many of his classic hits including "Wang Dang Doodle," "Built for Comfort" and "Killing Floor". All selections newly re-mastered.
