Product Details

Jefferson Airplane's debut captures a band still finding its footing in the San Francisco scene, with Signe Toly Anderson handling lead vocal duties alongside Balin before Grace Slick's arrival reshaped the group's identity entirely. The rawness here is part of the document, a snapshot of Haight-Ashbury's folk-rock moment just before psychedelia took full hold and the Airplane became one of the era's defining acts.

Digitally remastered edition housed in a mini LP sleeve. This debut album by Jefferson Airplane was released in 1966 before Grace Slick had joined the group. Almost all the lead vocals are by Marty Balin who also wrote or co-wrote most of the songs, including the band's first single, 'It's No Secret.'
