Lowell George was already a guitar hero among musicians' musicians by the time Little Feat cut *The Last Record Album* in 1975, but the record captured a band at a genuine crossroads, balancing George's rootsy slide-driven vision against the jazzier, keyboard-forward direction his bandmates were pulling toward. That tension made for some of the most interesting music of their career, and the Orpheum show from that tour documents a live band that could hold its own with anyone on the road that year.

Little Feat / LAST RECORD ALBUM 4xCD - Getting the Rhino Deluxe treatment with this release are various album configurations, including a 4CD deluxe edition featuring the original albums remastered and recut from the original tapes, alongside previously unreleased studio outtakes, demos and rarities and an unreleased live show from the corresponding tour (in this case their 1975 stop at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston).
