Lou Rawls came up the hard way, singing gospel with the Pilgrim Travelers alongside Sam Cooke before a near-fatal car accident in 1958 that left him clinically dead for several days. That survival story shaped everything that followed, a voice carrying unmistakable weight and lived experience across nearly five decades of recordings. The pairing of his Capitol-era cool with his Philadelphia International soul work makes a compilation like this one genuinely rare.

This collection spans the illustrious career of a Hollywood legend belove by pop, jazz, r&b, soul and country fans across the world. Features all of Lou's major hits on both Capitol and PIR, including a live version of "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" and many more. All songs were hand picked by Gamble and Huff, mastered from the original analog tapes.
