Product Details

Richard Hell didn't just witness the birth of punk, he helped design its vocabulary, literally cutting up his t-shirts and writing on them before Malcolm McLaren took notes. From his early days co-founding Television and the Heartbreakers alongside Johnny Thunders, Hell's snarling poetry and deliberate self-destruction gave the movement its intellectual edge, proving that New York's Bowery scene was as much about ideas as volume.

First ever career spanning compilation from the ultimate punk prototype. Includes 21 remastered tracks, 2 previously unissued songs, plus a rare live version of "Blank Generation" performed by Hell and Television at CBGB.
