By late 1978, Talking Heads had already shed their spare CBGB art-punk origins and were expanding into something funkier and more ambitious, with Brian Eno's fingerprints fresh on their second record. The Agora show captures that particular moment of transformation, before the ensemble grew into the sprawling ensemble of the Stop Making Sense era, when the band was still a tight four-piece finding out just how far they could stretch.

Live On Tour was recorded at the Agora in Cleveland on December 18, 1978 and published as promo LP for radio broadcast in 1979. Recorded on the More Songs About Buildings and Food tour, the promo release was never officially released for the public. This is the first official release of the full show, fully remastered from the original analogue tapes and features one previously unreleased track.
