Kevin Parker wrote, recorded, and mixed *Lonerism* almost entirely by himself, a fact that makes its enormity of sound all the more striking. Released in 2012, it deepened the conversation around psychedelia as a living practice rather than a nostalgic exercise, and earned Parker a reputation as one of the most compelling studio auteurs of his generation.
Cocooned away inside walls of psychedelic fuzz in Western Australia they re-created their preferred period one song at a time with the aid of gear and production techniques that sounded like they hadn't been dusted off since 1968.
