Originally assembled just months after Jim Morrison's death, this sprawling two-disc survey captures the full arc of the Doors' strange, mercurial run, from the Sunset Strip danger of their early singles to the darker, more unsettled territory of their final studio work. It remains one of the more honest portraits of the band, sequenced less like a greatest-hits package and more like an actual journey through the psychic landscape they spent five years mapping.

The Doors now make their legendary, long out-of-print compilation Weird Scenes Inside The Gold Mine available for the first time as a 2-CD set. Originally released in 1972, this gold-certified double album was the first compilation to be released after Jim Morrison's death in 1971.
