The early-to-mid '90s found Neil Young in a remarkable creative stretch, moving from the pastoral acoustic warmth of Harvest Moon through the raw electric surge of his collaboration with Pearl Jam on Mirror Ball, with Sleeps With Angels' dark, Kurt Cobain-dedicated meditation in between. Few four-year windows in his catalog capture so many different sides of the man at once, and the Official Release Series treatment means each of these gets the archival attention it deserves.
This is the 6th limited edition box set in the chronological series of reissues of Neil Young's official album releases. This volume covers the years 1992 - 1995 and includes the albums Harvest Moon (1992), Unplugged (1993), Sleeps With Angels (1994), and Neil's album with Pearl Jam, Mirror Ball (1995).
Harvest Moon's title track is a hugely popular song, and the album also includes "Unknown Legend" and "From Hank To Hendrix". Sleeps With Angels is a favorite of the core fan base, featuring "Western Hero", "Prime of Life ", and the epic, 14 minute, "Change Your Mind".
Unplugged features 14 live performances, including some of Neil's most popular tracks from his career up to 1993. Mirror Ball is an analog recording and has been remastered, and 4 songs have been remixed.
The album includes two songs that have recently featured prominently in Neil's live sets: "Throw Your Hatred Down" and "I'm The Ocean".The CD box contains 1 CD per album. Both the Vinyl & CD boxes are numbered limited editions.
