Widespread Panic - July/August 2011 Relix Issue
The July/August 2011 Relix issue features our Widespread Panic cover story and much more! Since emerging from the Athens, GA club scene in the mid-'80s, Widespread panic has grown into one of the most successful—and influential—jam bands of recent decades. During that time, the group has overcome the death of founding guitarist Michael Houser and a sticky split with his replacement George McConnell. Shortly after the group celebrated its 25th anniversary, longtime Panic scribe Aaron Kayce sat down with all six members of the group to discuss their journey from clubs to national amphitheaters, as well as the band's upcoming hiatus and enduring legacy.
This issue also includes features and articles on Elbow, Emmylou Harris, Dawes, The Hangout, Gillian Welch, Slightly Stoopid, Wavy Gravy, New York Dolls, Les Nubians, Del McCoury, Ben Sollee, Ximena Sariñana, and more!
