The story goes that, after a Saturday Night Live appearance, a snowstorm forced them to cancel a few live dates. Instead of hibernating, they teamed with Danger Mouse and promptly started banging out the tracks that would make up El Camino, arguably the band's most accessible record in their now-extensive catalog. For the 10th anniversary edition, the band culls together a few different versions, with the "super deluxe" offering a robust collection of live tracks recorded in 2011-2012. First up is a complete show from the band's tour stop in Portland, Maine—20 tracks that capture the group energized by new cuts like "Gold on the Ceiling," "Little Black Submarines," and "Next Girl." The term "garage rock" has always been thrown around when discussing the Keys—but this night's performance was truly an assault on the blues, with Dan Auerbach's guitars thrashing throughout. The other two performances draw from more intimate settings—a BBC taping and a session at the famed Electro-Vox studio in Hollywood. Both gigs find the Keys performing at another intensely high level, with short and punchy versions of "Howlin' for You" and the smash single "Lonely Boy" showing off just how good this band was at creating compacted, yet transformative rock moments.

— Mike Ayers, Relix

Product Details

Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney recorded El Camino in just ten days in 2011, channeling decades of garage rock, glam, and soul into one of the tightest records of their career. While his recent adventures have centred around Nashville, having reunited with Alison Krauss for 2021’s chart-topping, multi GRAMMY-nominated Raise The Roof, it was in the English countryside that Robert Plant connected closely to this diverse group of musicians, who through their own experiences had a shared leaning towards his much-loved corners of evocative song. Together, Plant and Saving Grace – vocalist Suzi Dian, drummer Oli Jefferson, guitarist Tony Kelsey, banjo and string player Matt Worley, cellist Barney Morse-Brown – have spent the past six years growing into a wide-ranging workshop of styles and personalities, weaving through time and circumstance with joy and abandon. Saving Grace breathes fresh life into a collection of centuries-old music arranged by Robert Plant, Saving Grace and Sam Amidon, as well as more recent treasures by Memphis Minnie, Bob Mosley (Moby Grape), Blind Willie Johnson, The Low Anthem, Martha Scanlan, Sarah Siskind and Mimi Parker and Alan Sparhawk’s Low.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Chevrolet (2:38)

2. As I Roved Out (6:11)

3. It's A Beautiful Day Today (3:42)

4. Soul Of A Man (4:44)

5. Ticket Taker (3:40)

Side B

1. I Never Will Marry (3:36)

2. Higher Rock (3:44)

3. Too Far From You (4:58)

4. Everybody's Song (4:17)

5. Gospel Plough (4:27)

UPC: 075597895704
Label: Nonesuch
Release Date: 9.26.25
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-robert-plant-saving-grace-black-lp-vinyl-vinyl-lp-relix.jpg?v=1777571404
wilco-wilco-the-album-bonus-cd-2-lp-vinyl
Wilco – Wilco (LP + CD)

Jeff Tweedy and company arrived at their self-titled record after nearly two decades of restless reinvention, from the alt-country roots of Uncle Tupelo through the sonic deconstruction of "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" and beyond. While many suspected this self-titled album to be seen as some sort of reintroduction for the band-perhaps a return to the experimentalism of "Yankee Foxtrot Hotel"-the album actually seems like a direct successor of the more traditional-sounding 2007 "Sky Blue Sky." "Wilco (The Album)" seems to come with a parenthetical aside, a reminder that the band is not really turning back to their original roots, but that they're just lightening up instead (the cover is, after all, that of a camel birthday party). Here, they pack on everything they've picked up while they've been away: there's heavy '60s and '70s pop influences, with songs that sound like singles: "Sunny Feeling" and "You Never Know." There's tons of acoustics, tinkling keyboards, varying harmonies, and detailed melodies, bringing bands to mind such as Love, Wings and Badfinger. Ultimately, while the album seems less ambitious than it's predecessors, it establishes it's importance in the zeitgeist by being all about the confidence-the confidence of a band that knows itself and it's strengths, and is comfortable with them.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Wilco (The Song)

2. Deeper Down

3. One Wing

4. Bull Black Nova

5. You And I

6. You Never Know

Side B

1. Country Disappeared

2. Solitaire

3. I'll Fight

4. Sonny Feeling

5. Everlasting Everything

Disc 1

1. Wilco (The Song) (2:59)

2. Deeper Down (2:59)

3. One Wing (3:42)

4. Bull Black Nova (5:39)

5. You And I (3:26)

6. You Never Know (4:21)

7. Country Disappeared (4:02)

8. Solitaire (3:04)

9. I'll Fight (4:23)

10. Sonny Feeling (4:13)

11. Everlasting Everything (4:00)

12. You Never Know

13. Unlikely Japan

UPC: 075597981896
Label: Nonesuch
Release Date: 6.30.09
Format: LP Vinyl

The story behind Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is almost as legendary as the music itself. This isn't to say Saving Grace—the name of Plant's new album and his new band—is a rehash, it is not, but it is an acknowledgment that the singer, at 77, seems to be taking at least a little bit of stock in what came before as he did on Now and Zen and with his Page and Plant and Band of Joy projects.

With co-lead vocalist Suzi Dian playing a prominent role and Tony Kelsey (guitar), Matt Worley (banjo and strings), Barney Morse-Brown (cello) and Oli Jefferson (drums) being masterful purveyors of moody, atmospheric accompaniment, Saving Grace is what Plant's collaborations with Alison Krauss would've sounded like if staked to the East. Plant, meanwhile, sneaks in coy references to Led Zeppelin recordings on "As I Roved Out" and "Too Far from You" that, though sly, are not so esoteric as to get lost.

As these traditional and Sarah Siskind titles suggest, Saving Grace is a covers album. It is also a band record, as Worley takes lead vocals on Blind Willie Johnson's "Soul of a Man;" Plant sings their wispy arrangement of "I Never Will Marry" from a female perspective; and the musicians manage to make contemporary compositions like Low's "Everybody's Song" fit comfortably alongside the traditional "Gospel Plough" with musical arrangements that defy time and space.

If Plant were to stop here, Saving Grace could serve as an ideal wrap on one of rock's most essential and eclectic careers. The band's live performances, building quietly through UK venues before this studio debut, gave the material a road-tested intimacy rarely captured on a first record.

Robert Plant announces the release of Saving Grace: the first album featuring the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s new band of distinguished players, which he calls “a song book for the lost and found.” Arriving September 26 on Nonesuch Records, the genesis of Saving Grace began during a lockdown spent in “The Shire,” when Plant’s customary wandering was all but forbidden.

Tracklist

Disc 1

1. Chevrolet (2:38)

2. As I Roved Out (6:11)

3. It's A Beautiful Day Today (3:42)

4. Soul Of A Man (4:44)

5. Ticket Taker (3:40)

6. I Will Never Marry (3:36)

7. Higher Rock (3:44)

8. Too Far From You (4:58)

9. Everybody's Song (4:17)

10. Gospel Plough (4:27)

Bonus Tracks

1. Nothing Takes The Place Of You (6:01)

2. Charlie Patton Highway (4:20)

3. Too Much Alike (2:32)

4. New World (3:29)

UPC: 075597895384
Label: Nonesuch
Release Date: 9.26.25
Format: CD

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-robert-plant-saving-grace-cd-relix.jpg?v=1777571343
wilco-a-ghost-is-born-deluxe-edition-2-lp-vinyl
Wilco – A Ghost Is Born (Deluxe Edition) - (2-LP Vinyl)

Recorded during one of the more turbulent stretches in Wilco's history, A Ghost Is Born arrived in 2004 still carrying the shadow of the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot saga, yet it pushed further into noise, texture, and unease rather than retreating toward accessibility. The album's long, abrasive passages and Tweedy's unflinching lyrics about anxiety and medication made it a divisive listen on release; it later won two Grammys, for Best Alternative Album and Best Recording Package.

For the A Ghost Is Born recording, Wilco was Jeff Tweedy, John Stirratt, Leroy Bach, Glenn Kotche, and Mikael Jorgensen; Jim O'Rourke, who mixed the band's previous release Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, co-produced the album with Wilco. Leroy Bach left Wilco at the completion of the sessions and the band announced the addition of two new members: Pat Sansone and Nels Cline. Sansone and Cline toured with Wilco to promote AGIB and that lineup has remained unchanged since 2004. As Tweedy said to Mehr for his new liner note, "Making that record, and then finding this lineup, that was the start of something-of having a band that can play anything. That's why, twenty years later, we're still here and still going. "Wilco first began sessions for what would become A Ghost Is Born in early 2002 at Chicago's Soma E. M. S. , where they had mixed Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Much of the album was tracked live in the studio with O'Rourke and engineer Chris Shaw. They also reunited there with engineer and soon-to-be-bandmate Mikael Jorgensen. At Soma, the band began sketching out music using Tweedy's notebooks of lyrics, poetry, and prose. Mehr notes: "In between more traditional song tracking, the group would engage in a series of conceptual improvisations in the studio. These musical experiments, broadly known as 'Fundamentals'... were part of what Kotche said was 'an attempt to search for a new group identity. To see what we could make this band into. '"In the fall of 2003, the band relocated to New York to finish recording at Sear Sound. "It seemed like the band needed to get out of Chicago, get out of the working mode they'd been in, and only be thinking about making a record," O'Rourke told Mehr. There, playing together in the corner of a large studio, the album began to take it's final shape. Emerging from a period of addiction and rehab, Tweedy discussed how he feels about A Ghost Is Born in retrospect. As he told Mehr, "I was worried the album was going to feel like something dark and not me anymore. But the album was ahead of me as a person. It was the part of me that I was trying to preserve-enthusiastic and furious about the world, as well as open and loving. I reached that in the music, before I could get there emotionally on my own. "

Tracklist

Side A

1. At Least That's What You Said (5:33)

2. Hell Is Chrome (4:38)

3. Spiders (Kidsmoke) (10:46)

Side B

1. Muzzle Of Bees (4:56)

2. Hummingbird (3:12)

3. Handshake Drugs (6:07)

Side C

1. Wishful Thinking (4:42)

2. Company In My Back (3:46)

3. I'm A Wheel (2:38)

4. Theologians (3:37)

Side D

1. Less Than You Think (15:04)

2. The Late Greats (2:31)

UPC: 075597899047
Label: Nonesuch
Release Date: 2.7.25
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/Wilco-A-Ghost-Is-Born-Deluxe-Edition-LP-Vinyl.jpg?v=1777380194
robert-plant-lullaby-and-the-ceaseless-roar-lp-vinyl
Robert Plant – lullaby and... "

Tracklist

Disc 1

1. At Least That's What You Said (5:33)

2. Hell Is Chrome (4:38)

3. Spiders (Kidsmoke) (10:46)

4. Muzzle Of Bees (4:56)

5. Hummingbird (3:12)

6. Handshake Drugs (6:07)

7. Wishful Thinking (4:42)

8. Company In My Back (3:46)

9. I'm A Wheel (2:38)

10. Theologians (3:37)

11. Less Than You Think (15:04)

12. The Late Greats (2:31)

Disc 2

1. At Least That's What You Said (8/13/02 SOMA-Chicago) (5:12)

2. Hell Is Chrome (10/5/03 SOMA-Chicago) (3:46)

3. Spiders (Kidsmoke) (9/28/03 SOMA-Chicago) (4:47)

4. Muzzle Of Bees (7/15/03 SOMA-Chicago) (5:09)

5. Hummingbird (2/8/02 SOMA-Chicago) (3:52)

6. Handshake Drugs (11/13/03 Sear Sound-NYC) (7:47)

7. Wishful Thinking (11/1/03 Sear Sound-NYC) (4:41)

8. Company In My Back (2/8/03 Hothouse-St. Kilda, Melbourne, Australia) (4:22)

9. I'm A Wheel (August 2002 SOMA-Chicago) (2:36)

10. Theologians (3/1903 SOMA-Chicago) (3:26)

11. Less Than You Think (11/11/03 Sear Sound-NYC) (2:57)

12. The Late Greats (7/19/03 SOMA-Chicago) (3:47)

13. Kicking Television (3/18/03 SOMA-Chicago) (2:59)

14. The High Heat (2/5/02 SOMA-Chicago) (3:03)

15. Panthers (March 2003 SOMA-Chicago) (3:55)

16. Diamond Claw (3/21/03 SOMA-Chicago) (3:29)

17. Bob Dylan's 49th Beard (June 2002 SOMA-Chicago) (2:22)

18. More Like The Moon (2/8/02 SOMA-Chicago) (6:34)

19. Improbable Germany (10/7/03 SOMA-Chicago) (3:38)

UPC: 075597899023
Label: Nonesuch
Release Date: 2.7.25
Format: CD

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-wilco-a-ghost-is-born-deluxe-edition-cd-relix.png?v=1777386216
the-black-keys-ohio-players-cd
The Black Keys – Ohio Players (CD)

Akron's favorite sons have spent the better part of two decades proving that two guys with the right chemistry can conjure something far bigger than the sum of their parts.

Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney recorded El Camino in just ten days in 2011, channeling early rock and roll, glam, and vintage soul into a lean, riff-driven statement that broke them wide open commercially without softening their edge. The joy and camaraderie found in communal space seems to be a major catalyst for the ETA IVtet’s music.

ETA was undoubtedly more than just the namesake of the band. Part laboratory, part low-stakes proving ground, it’s where the language of the IVtet’s sound percolated and coalesced over the course of an almost mythical seven-year-long Monday night residency that yielded two critically-acclaimed records—2022’s Mondays at The Enfield Tennis Academy and 2024’s The Way Out of Easy—and an instantly recognizable group sound. ‘Happy Today’ is that sound—the IVtet's signature syntax built around long-form, minimalist improvisation—expanding confidently into a larger space while creating the same hypnotizing, deeply-tuned listening effect on visibly enraptured audiences.

With ‘Happy Today’, the reach of Parker’s IVtet extends further than ever before, but the essential formula, if there is one, remains the same. The anchor seems to be in variations on an almost alchemical communication—a feeling of connection between band members, sure, but also between the band and the audience. It’s an ongoing trust exercise, born organically in the corner of a small room in Los Angeles and flowing outward at exactly its own natural pace. It’s social music with a clear ability to move those willing to listen. ‘Happy Today’ is an invitation to become part of the exchange and experience the joy of deep listening.

Tracklist

1. Like Swimwear

2. Happy Today

UPC: 075597892956
Label: Nonesuch
Release Date: 5.15.26
Format: CD

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-jeff-parker-eta-ivtet-happy-today-cd-relix.jpg?v=1781658808
ambrose-akinmusire-mary-halvorson-slo-mo-neon-luminate-hoverings-cd
Ambrose Akinmusire & Mary Halvorson – Slo-Mo Neon Luminate Hoverings (CD)

Akinmusire has long pushed the trumpet into quietly radical territory, while Halvorson has redefined what a guitar can do in improvised music. Halvorson, widely recognized as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary guitar, brings her signature warped-time phrasing and harmonic restlessness to any room she enters. A decade in the making, their partnership feels less like a project than a natural reckoning between two composers who've been circling each other's gravity for years.

Nonesuch Records releases Slo-Mo Neon Luminate Hoverings by trumpeter/composer Ambrose Akinmusire and guitarist/composer Mary Halvorson on June 12, 2026. The album features four new compositions by each musician as well as one collaboration. The duo, long admirers of each other’s musicianship, met at Halvorson’s Brooklyn apartment and began playing together periodically as far back as 2015. They rehearsed the music on Slo-Mo Neon Luminate Hoverings in January 2025, just before performing it at the New York City club The Stone; they recorded this album the next day at Sear Sound. Halvorson says of the duo’s rapport, “I think it’s partly a shared aesthetic and an ease of communication. I feel comfortable to try whatever.” Akinmusire concurs, “It’s rare to feel like you don’t have to do anything and you can do anything. And that’s what love about playing with Mary.”

During his career, Ambrose Akinmusire has paradoxically situated himself in both the center and the periphery of jazz, most recently emerging in classical and hip-hop circles. He is on a perpetual quest for new paradigms, masterfully weaving inspiration from other genres, arts, and life in general into compositions that are as poetic and graceful as they are bold and unflinching. His unorthodox approach to sound and composition makes him a regular on critics’ polls and has earned him grants and commissions from the Doris Duke Foundation, the MAP Fund, the Kennedy Center, and the Berlin and Monterey Jazz Festivals. While Akinmusire continues to garner accolades, including the DownBeat Critics Poll Trumpeter of the Year for 2025, his reach is always beyond—himself, his instrument, genre, form, preconceived notions, and anything else imposing limitations.

Mary Halvorson’s first three Nonesuch records were named Jazz Album of the Year in DownBeat’s annual Critics Poll, where she was also named Guitarist of the Year for the last three years in a row. PopMatters noted in its review of her most recent record, 2025’s About Ghosts, “The latest from guitarist Mary Halvorson is another master class in jazz performance and composition. If she is the future of jazz, we are in tremendously gifted hands ... she’s currently in the midst of what may be her most acclaimed and creatively fruitful period.” And Spin said, “You hear Mary Halvorson play a guitar once—it sticks with you. Her tone, both liquid and spiky, burrows into your nervous system on contact. Using a delay pedal and digital effects, she flattens, smears, and discombobulates single notes, which creates an eerie, addictive effect. Her darting, slippery approach makes her songs simultaneously vaporous, brittle, and kinetic ...
