Françoise Hardy was already a generational voice in French pop when she recorded this album, her songwriting carrying a melancholy and emotional precision that set her apart from the yé-yé wave she'd help define. The combination of her introspective pen and Charles Blackwell's lush orchestral arrangements gave the material a transatlantic sophistication that resonated well beyond France, influencing generations of singer-songwriters who followed.

Hardy's 1965 album, newly remastered, CD & LP include 6 bonus tracks including "L'amitié" live in Paris. Working with arranger Charles Blackwell, a former protégé of Joe Meek, Françiose and producer Jacques Wolfsohn Françoise writing and status continued to grow with this, her fifth studio album. Now including 6 non-ablum bonus tracks, including "L'amitié" recorded live in Paris. All tracks have been fully remastered.
