Flightless Records has become one of the most reliable pipelines for heavy psychedelia coming out of Australia, and ORB fits that roster like a fuzz pedal fits a Marshall stack. The Geelong scene that produced King Gizzard has always had a taste for the cavernous and the cosmic, and ORB channels that same gravitational pull into something distinctly their own.
Playing dark, sonically massive guitar-based heavy rock without sounding excessively metallic, ORB draws tonguein- cheek inspiration from doom rock and psychedelia. The Geelong, Victoria natives earned a solid reputation among Australian hard rock fans and a deal with Flightless Records, the label founded by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. ORB’s 2/8 release, Space Between, is offered on split-color vinyl (½ white + ½ black) via Flightless/ATO Records.
