Rhett Miller – The Traveler (LP Vinyl)

Miller has been writing sharply observed songs about longing, restlessness, and romantic wreckage since the Old 97's helped define the alt-country sound of 1990s Dallas, and his solo records have consistently shown a softer, more introspective side of that same restless spirit. Pairing him with Black Prairie, whose instrumental roots run deep in Americana and string-band tradition, was a natural fit for a songwriter who has always had one boot in country and the other in rock and roll.
