Adrian Borland and his bandmates recorded Jeopardy at a pivotal moment in post-punk history, channeling a raw urgency that drew comparisons to Joy Division while remaining entirely their own. The music press was universally ecstatic heralding a powerful new force, but maybe Brendan Perry of the legendary Dead Can Dance summed it up Highlight, "I Can't Escape Myself" currently stands at 6.7 million YouTube plays and counting.
