Lettuce has been building toward an album like *Elevate* since those early Berklee dorm sessions in the early '90s, when Adam Deitch, Eric Krasno, and company were already playing circles around most working musicians. Recording with Russ Elevado, whose fingerprints are on some of the most important neo-soul records ever made, was no accident; the band was reaching for a sound that honored the full weight of Black American music while pushing it somewhere new.

Produced by Lettuce and recorded at Colorado Sound Studio outside of Denver with legendary engineer Russ Elevado (D'Angelo, The Roots, Erykah Badu), Elevate marks the band's first new original music in three years and is a dynamic showcase of their ever-changing and all-inclusive musical palette.
