The Stones in early 1965 were still a band defined by their record crates, and this album captures that perfectly. Mick, Keith, and Brian Jones had been absorbing Chicago blues and American R&B since their Marquee Club days, and cuts like "Down Home Girl" and their reading of Howlin' Wolf's "Little Baby" show just how deeply they meant it.
