Released in 1984, Ice Cream Castle arrived as The Time were hitting their commercial and creative peak, with "Jungle Love" and "The Bird" both landing in the Purple Rain film and its cultural explosion. Morris Day and the band brought a sharp, comedic charisma to Prince's Minneapolis sound that set them apart from everything else on the radio that summer.

In celebration of Black Music Month, this album has been cut from the original analog master by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab and is pressed locally on 180 gram premium-quality vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing's plant in Oxnard, California as part of the Rhino Reserve line.

Produced by Prince (as The Starr ? Company), Ice Cream Castle is The Time's best-selling album, delivering classic funk hits like "Jungle Love" and "The Bird."
