Otis Redding – Pain In My Heart (LP Vinyl)
Product Details
Otis Redding was just 22 years old when Stax released this debut in 1964, and even at that age the raw, pleading authority in his voice was fully formed. "These Arms of Mine" became a slow-burning R&B hit almost entirely through word of mouth, a testament to how deeply it connected with listeners before radio caught up. Hearing it cut from the original analog mono master is the closest most of us will ever get to what those first pressings actually sounded like.
Pain in My Heart is Otis Redding's historic debut album. Released in 1964, the album contains Otis' first self-penned hit, "These Arms of Mine" along with his beloved covers of "Stand By Me" and "Pain in My Heart." In honor of Black History Month, this album has been cut from the original analog mono master by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab and is pressed locally on 180 gram premium-quality vinyl at Fidelity Record Pressing's plant in Oxnard, California as part of the Rhino Reserve line.
