Dylan was 20 years old when Columbia recorded this debut in a single November 1961 session, capturing a kid fresh off the Minnesota-to-Greenwich Village pipeline who'd been haunting the clubs and soaking up Woody Guthrie at Greystone Park. Hearing it in mono, as it was originally intended, restores the raw, room-present quality that later stereo pressings smoothed over.
Mono reissue of Bob Dylan's debut album originally released in 1962. The album features interpretations of folk and blues standards along with two original compositions; "Talkin' New York" and "Song To Woody."
