By 1972, Elvis had fully embraced the road, performing to arenas packed with fans who'd waited years to see him live after his long Hollywood detour. The April dates captured here came just months before his iconic Madison Square Garden run, placing these recordings at a peak moment of his concert career, when his band, including guitarist James Burton and pianist Glen D. Hardin, was as tight and seasoned as any working group in American music.

Elvis Live 1972 compiles the best of the live tracks from the new 6CD+bluray box set Elvis On Tour.  Recorded at 4 Elvis tour dates throughout April 1972, most of these tracks are previously unreleased, and appear here on vinyl for the first time.
