Miles Davis – Kind Of Blue (LP Vinyl)
Product Details
Recorded in just two sessions at Columbia's 30th Street Studio in New York in the spring of 1959, Kind of Blue found Davis assembling one of the most storied lineups in jazz history, including John Coltrane, Bill Evans, and Cannonball Adderley, to explore modal improvisation in a way that permanently shifted the music's direction. The approach gave players vast melodic space rather than dense chord changes, and the results still feel like a conversation, unhurried and inevitable.
Few recordings maintain their power to utterly intoxicate for decades as Kind of Blue does. This 1959 all-time classic is one of the monuments of jazz: So What; Freddie Freeloader; Blue in Green; All Blues , and Flamenco Sketches . This vinyl release is the way to experience one of the greatest albums ever made.
