Before *Surfer Rosa*, before the Bossanova years, before the reunion tours, there was *Come on Pilgrim*, the 1987 mini-album that introduced Black Francis, Kim Deal, Joey Santiago, and David Lovering to a world that had no idea what was coming. Eight tracks recorded with Steve Albini predecessor Gary Smith at Fort Apache Studios, it announced a band arriving fully formed, coiled tight, and unlike anything else happening in American rock.
Pixies debut record, released September 28th, 1987.
