Getz had already rewritten jazz history with bossa nova by the time he walked into this session, which makes his willingness to engage seriously with the singer-songwriter generation all the more telling. Vinyl LP pressing. This 1970 album sees master saxophonist Stan Getz cover hits of the day, with Beatles producer George Martin at the controls. Getz tries his hand at songs by Paul Simon, Bacharach-David, a heartfelt take on Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" and Graham's Nash title track. The Verve By Request Series features 180-gram vinyl, pressed at Third Man in Detroit.
