Released in 1996, High on the Hog found Levon Helm, Rick Danko, and Garth Hudson proving that the Band's DNA ran deeper than any lineup change. With Jim Weider holding down the guitar chair and Randy Ciarlante sharing drum duties with Helm, this was a working road band at full strength, not a nostalgia act coasting on legend.
