Product Details

Capitol's 1964 North American counterpart to *A Hard Day's Night*, *Something New* compiled a slightly different track selection than its UK equivalent, giving American fans their own distinct entry point into the Beatles' most creatively explosive period. The all-analogue chain here matters because these recordings were engineered with analog playback in mind from the start, and hearing them cut straight from the original mono masters without any digital conversion in the signal path is as close as most of us will ever get to what those 1964 pressing plants intended.

Using the original 1964 mono master, new lacquers have been cut all-analogue by Kevin Reeves at Nashville’s East

Iris Studios. By constantly referring to the original first pressing, the album is faithful to the original release while

also enabling more musical information to be heard than was possible before. Featuring faithfully replicated artwork

and a new four-panel insert with essay by American Beatles historian, Bruce Spizer. 180-gram audiophile pressing.
