Product Details

Marshall Crenshaw emerged from the early '80s power pop scene with a melodic instincts and a Buddy Holly-informed clarity that set him apart from his new wave contemporaries, and his influence on guitar-driven pop has quietly outlasted most of his peers. The span of recordings collected here, stretching across three decades, reflects the kind of restless creative output that rarely fits neatly into a release schedule, making this long-awaited return feel less like a comeback and more like an excavation worth waiting for.

From The Hellhole is the latest studio album from Marshall Crenshaw, and his first studio album since 2009's Jaggedland. It is a collection of studio tracks that Marshall mostly recorded between 2012 and 2014, although one of the recordings, "Walkin' Around," was recorded in 1990, and another, "Couldn't I Just Tell You," was recorded in 2020. All songs were remixed and remastered for this album. The album contains three previously unreleased songs. 3-sided LP is pressed on Sunburst Splash vinyl and is limited to 750 copies worldwide
