Wheels of Fire arrived in the summer of 1968 as a double album split between studio precision and live improvisation, capturing Cream at the peak of their powers just before the band dissolved. The studio half showcased Jack Bruce and Pete Brown's songwriting at its most sophisticated, with Eric Clapton, Bruce, and Ginger Baker locked into an interplay that redefined what a rock trio could do. Felix Pappalardi's production shaped some of the era's most enduring recordings, making his personal reference reels an invaluable window into how those sessions actually came together.

CREAM / WHEELS OF FIRE - Wheels on Fire: In the Studio chronicles Cream's groundbreaking third album on this expanded 3-LP set pressed on 180g vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket complete with metallic Pantone finish. Originally released in 1968 utilizing CGS-processed recordings, this newly remastered stereo version now presents the album phase-corrected, delivering the recordings with greater detail and a crisp soundstage. Disc 2 includes previously unreleased personal reference reels sourced from the late Cream producer, Felix Pappalardi. Disc 3 rounds out the set with alternate mixes in stereo and mono. Limited Edition.
