Product Details

The 1979 Foreigner machine was a finely-tuned arena beast, just weeks removed from releasing Head Games and riding a commercial peak that had made Double Vision one of the best-selling albums of 1978. This Atlanta broadcast catches the band at a moment when Gramm and Jones had refined their chemistry into something almost alarmingly powerful live, translating radio hits into room-filling performances that held up against any of their hard rock contemporaries.

Recorded in Atlanta on November 15, 1979 and broadcast on European radio networks, this performance captures Foreigner during the Head Games tour, when they were one of the biggest arena rock bands in the world. With Lou Gramm's powerhouse vocals and Mick Jones' driving guitar, the set draws from their first three albums, including "Cold as Ice, " "Feels Like the First Time, " "Hot Blooded, " and "Double Vision, " alongside extended live moments that show the band's scale and confidence on stage at the height of their early success.
