The result sits closer to Bedhead or early Elliott Smith than the slacker-rock tag that followed him out of Vancouver, and it landed him a wider audience without softening the idiosyncratic charm that made fans fall for him in the first place.

Before you ancients out there turn your heads and scoff at the premise of a twenty-something rock-and-roll goofball calling himself an old-anything, consider this: said perpetrator, he who answers to the name Mac DeMarco, has spent the better part of his time thus far writing, recording, and releasing an album of his own music pretty much every calendar flip, and pretty much on his own. The fresh meat you’re now feasting on, This Old Dog, makes for his fifth in just over half a decade—bringing the total to 3 LPs and 2 EPs.

Tracklist

Side A

1. My Old Man (3:42)

2. This Old Dog (2:31)

3. Baby You're Out (2:38)

4. For The First Time (3:02)

5. One Another (2:46)

6. Still Beating (3:02)

7. Sister (1:18)

Side B

1. Dreams From Yesterday (3:27)

2. A Wolf Who Wears Sheeps Clothes (2:49)

3. One More Love Song (4:01)

4. On The Level (3:48)

5. Moonlight On The River (7:03)

6. Watching Him Fade Away (2:23)

UPC: 817949013158
Label: Captured Tracks Rec.
Release Date: 5.5.17
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-mac-demarco-this-old-dog-lp-vinyl-vinyl-lp-relix.jpg?v=1792983293
