Volumes 9 and 0 arrived as the collection reached its natural conclusion, and hearing these beats unadorned makes plain what producers and MCs had long understood: the man built worlds out of crate-dug obscurities that most diggers would have walked right past.

One of the most expansive instrumental Hip Hop series to date, MF Doom's lauded Special Herbs collection assembles a mountainous collection of his beats, ranging from series exclusives to slightly reworked favorites he produced for himself and others. Released under the alias Metal Fingers, Special Herbs succeeds at capturing DOOM's highly influential sound which continually breaks and reinterprets the rules of the game in favor of the super-villain. The world is a treasure trove of sounds, and the Metal-Fingered DOOM accepts no limits; '70s Soul/Funk classic, '80s R&B hits, rap nostalgia, and even soundbites from children's records & TV all find their place in the ingredients needed to perfect his recipes.

Tracklist

Side A

1. Vinca Rosea

2. Burdock Root

3. Vervain

Side B

1. Bergamont

2. Podina

3. “Untitled” (Meditation)

4. Coltsfoot Leaf

Side C

1. Orris Root Powder

2. Passion Flower

3. Yellow Dock

Side D

1. Datura Stramonium

2. Coca Leaf

3. Peach Extract

UPC: 826257038616
Label: Metalface Records
Release Date: 9.5.25
Format: LP Vinyl

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1041/7172/files/packshot-mf-doom-metal-fingers-presents-special-herbs-vol-9-0-evergreen-2xlp--vinyl-lp-relix.jpg?v=1792978894
https://relix.shop/products/mf-doom-metal-fingers-presents-special-herbs-vol-9-0-evergreen-2xlp-lp-vinyl
