Carnavas landed in 2006 and quickly positioned the Los Angeles four-piece as torchbearers for a strain of shoegaze-inflected alt-rock that felt indebted to Smashing Pumpkins without simply imitating them. Tracks like "Lazy Eye" and "Well Thought Out Twinkles" built a devoted following through heavy rock radio and relentless touring, proving the band's dense, layered sound translated just as powerfully on a stage as it did on tape.

Their debut full-length, following the EP "Pikul". Using "Pikul" as a blueprint, "Carnavas" seamlessly continues the moody nature of Silver sun's signature sound: fuzzy guitars, driving bass grooves, ethereal keyboards, angular drums, and raspy vocals.
