Britt Daniel and Jim Eno recorded A Series of Sneaks for Elektra, a deal that famously collapsed shortly after release when the band was dropped, an experience that fed directly into the defiant, scrappy energy you can hear throughout these songs. That industry friction only sharpened Spoon into the relentlessly precise rock band they'd become.

Originally released in 1998, Spoon's sophomore album A Series of Sneaks has not only become a favorite amongst the most diehard of Spoon fans, but is widely considered an overlooked classic in the band's exceptional repertoire. With all but three of the 14 tracks coming in under three minutes, A Series of Sneaks is a remarkably economic yet incredibly boisterous album that sounds as exciting and inventive since its original release over twenty years ago.
