Liner Notes

Recorded after years away from the studio, *Hittin' the Note* captured the Brothers at a moment when their Beacon Theatre residency had sharpened them into one of the tightest live units in rock. Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks were both deep in their prime, and that guitar chemistry translates fully to tape here, making it a genuine return rather than a victory lap.

Reissue. 2003 release, the first album in 9 years from the classic Rock band. Band leader Gregg Allman called it their best since Eat a Peach. Great songs, incredible songwriting, outstanding playing and a Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame band all rolled into one.
