The Meters built the rhythmic foundation that generations of hip-hop producers, funk bands, and New Orleans musicians have borrowed from ever since, and *Struttin'* is one of the clearest examples of why. Recorded at Cosimo Matassa's Sea-Saint Studios with Art Neville, Leo Nocentelli, George Porter Jr., and Zigaboo Modeliste locked in as tight a unit as American music has ever produced, the record captures a band operating on pure instinct.

Third album released in 1970. Features the hits 'Chicken Strut','Hand Clapping Song' and more. A classic and heavily sampled record.
